AA is the division of baseball for young players Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Members of two teams take turns hitting a ball pitched by a coach. Batters try to get on base and advance to home; fielders try to prevent that from happening. The introduction of coach pitching allows children to hit with a pitched ball. AA develops the primary baseball skills of hitting, running, fielding, and throwing. There are no walks and five strikes. Participants will not only learn how to play baseball but will also strengthen social skills by interacting with their coaches and teammates.

Requests to be put with friends are considered for this level, but cannot be guaranteed.

Equipment

All players will be furnished a Team Jersey, hat, and socks by Bethpage Baseball

Gloves, Bat, and Helmet will be required (not supplied)

Bethpage Baseball furnished equipment will include: T-Ball balls, batting tee

Games/Practices - Games will last approximately 90-120 minutes. Games will held weeknights and/or on Saturdays at various times (based on coach availability). Practices will be based on coach availability and are at the discretion of the coach.
